Trust Profile

His Highness Maharaja Hanwant Singhji Charitable Trust established in 1971 by His Highness Maharaja of Jodhpur is a registered (80G-12A) certified NGO and is registered under Rajasthan Public Trust Act, 1956 and FCRA Act 2010 to receive foreign donation/contribution.

Opening numerous entrances and doorways of development, a series of modest initiatives are carried out under the aegis of Project Shakti, Project Sahayata, Project Sahyog and Project Shiksha.

Project Shiksha : The Trust runs two girls' hostels under its aegis for marginalized girls of Rural Marwar aiming at their empowerment through proper formal education, digital literacy and extra-curricular activities.

Project Sahayata : Working Towards Sustainable Development Goals in tandem with the National Campaign of Swachh Bharat, ‘Project Sahayata’ aims to generate awareness about adequate sanitation, health and hygiene. It also works to preserve and provide accessible drinking water to rural areas by reinforcing construction of Tankas and a number of Toilet cum Bathroom Units in remote regions.

Project Sahyog : The Trust’s ongoing commitment under its ‘Project Sahyog’ aims for Integrated Rural Development in service of the Community to restore, conserve and preserve the environment. Care of stray dogs, tree plantation drives form a part of this project.

Project Shakti : Dedicated to the cause of Empowerment of Women through Adult Literacy, Skill Development and multifarious Vocational Skills, 'Project Shakti' aims at helping less fortunate women who are facing cultural, traditional, societal and financial obstacles. It aims to transform deprived women of Marwar region as confident, self-sufficient, cognizant and financially independent.

Our Training Centre

The Trust runs Women Empowerment Centre at Jodhpur under “Project Shakti" where economically backward & marginalized women are being trained in Sewing, Embroidery, Arts, Crafts and Applique work. You may support these women by helping them to become financially independent and economically empowered which enhances their self – worth and dignity.
