Project Sahayata

Improvement of access to water and sanitation for vulnerable people living in Thar Desert, Rajasthan INDIA

The rural areas in India do not have any toilet & sanitation facilities and the people defecate in the open which causes serious health and sanitation problems. The problem is more acute for the women & children, who for reasons of security are forced to use the cover of darkness for defecation. Keeping in tandem with the National policy of ‘Swachh Bharat’ & providing clean water supply to the economically backward & marginalized of remote areas, the Trust with support from various foreign organizations especially PADEM Luxembourg and help of local philanthropists / donors has reinforced construction of a number of Toilet cum Bathroom Units & Tankas on individual household basis in remote areas under 'Operation Sahayata'
